    I lost my sound

It all started yesterday when I downloaded some new graphics(nvidia) and sound drivers(VIA) cuz I read in some threads that might be the problem for Fallout 3 crashing. After installing the drivers I lost my sound(And by the way after I lost the sound I ran the game without any problem...)...I tried uninstalling and installing but didnt help and then I reinstalled Windows 7 64Ultimate.And now after using my drivers which came with the PC I dont have sound again :?

Have a read through this and make sure your settings are correct:

Games and some other stuff can change the settings.

been reading a great story about someone being lazy and just plugging their sound cables into the back (without looking) using guesswork.

Sound mysteriously worked with cable in wrong port for xmonths but when upgrading driver the sound stopped working!

Another punter on here solved his no-sound problem by adjusting the htz 16/44 sample rate/bit depth in the sound icon/playback devices/properties area

Another I remember is to check which is the Windows 'default sound' player - if you have a seperate sound card etc

Thats prob the cause - you should let Win7 download latest system drivers it needs from t'internet first.

You prob. wacked on an older system/bus driver which has fecked it up.
