Hi Jeevan and welcome to the Forum. After you re-loaded Windows, did you reload the ASUS on-board sound drivers from the ASUS CD?

Hi again Jeevan. A couple of things you may look at.
    1. Have you made any changes inside your tower? Is the front Audio Panel
correctly connected to the correct plug on the Motherboard?

    2. Have a look in your BIOS. Under Onboard drvices, HD Audio Controller - make
    sure this is enabled.

    3. Does the Mic on the front Audio Panel work?

    4. Are you sure you have your headset plugged in to the speaker jack and not
    the Mic jack?

    5. Have you tried your Headset on another system to ensure they work?

    6. Does the Speaker and Mic jacks on the back of your tower work?

These are the only things I can think of at the moment. Let me know how you
    make out.
    Regards
