Cracking sound after installing realtek HD audio drivers.... plz help

hi all.
I'm new to this forum and i've recently installed windows 7 ultimate on my MSI vr440 laptop. after installing it i was unable to use my Mic so i installed Realtek HD audio drivers after downloading it from their website. now the problem is that i have a crackling sound coming out of my speaker.

earlier i was using Vista home edition and it too had realtek installed and i could use the inbuilt mic with ease but now if i'm talking thru the mic the person at the other end cant seem to hear me..... please help resolve this issue.

regards

Download the driver from MSI and see if that makes a difference. Many times the PC vendor drivers are needed.
