Windows 7: dual monitors no sound.

dual monitors no sound.

To start off, I AM NOT A COMPUTER LITERATE person so keep it simple please.



I got a laptop connected to a toshiba dynadock to a samsung monitor and I cannont hear any sound at all. Even when I plug in headphones to the dynadock or my laptop I still cannot hear anything. I do not have speakers, but ive been told that i can play music on my laptop. so help!!

1. My friend did set up the sound on my laptop, but i made a silly mistake and apparently i disabled it, but then I went back to enable the sound settings and still did not come back.

Johnnyandrew, welcome to the Seven Forums.

I would start with re-installing/updating the drivers for the Dynadock. Go here,

Toshiba Support - Homepage

select laptop accessories, dynadock, and then the model you have (5 to choose from).

Once that is done then check in the Windows playback properties (right click the speaker icon in the right corner) and select Playback devices. Make sure that the device is showing there and if not, set it as the default playback device.

Silly question, me being very computer illiterate...How do i check what kind of dynadock I have? haha

*nevermind* Found it under the dock.
