fd369 welcome to the Seven Forums.

Don't know if you seen or tried it yet but this,

SB Audigy Series Support Pack 3.8 (04/19/2010) - Creative Labs

but it should work with that card no problem. I have used it with both an Audigy 4 and an Audigy ES (same as your card minus the firewire port) in Windows 7 (both 32 bit and 64 bit) with no problems.

Unless the source is 5.1 you need to turn on CMSS3D in the Creative Audio Console,

    to get 5.1/surround sound.

What is the source of the sound that you are testing with? If it is stereo, it would play in that fashion.

There is a very good chance that it doesn't support it. The thing to do would be to find a file that you know is 5.1 to test with.
