Computer crash, audio problem?
Iv'e had this problem for about a year and a half or so now, maybe a year. My computer will randomly crash when I run certain programs or do certain things on my computer, most of the things are generally audio oriented. If I go to try and run Call of Duty Black Ops, or if I try to run X-Split Broadcaster, or load up Sony Vegas, my screen will look "staticy" if you get what I mean, and I will hear a weird buzzing noise in my headphones and I will generally get some type of multicolored screen along with the static. From there the computer will proceed to crash and restart.
When the computer is starting itself back up again, and once my programs are loading once I get back on my username, for a while it would come up with a windows thing about an error, and when you ran the diagnostic or whatever it was, it would say it was a blue screen error. If I went to look for the cause of the problem, it would say they couldn't find one or something like that, I can't remember exactly.
I wouldn't get this crash only with loading those programs though. If I mess with my recording settings within my audio panel, like my default recording device and things like that, I often times get the crash, or even if I just simply unplug my microphone, my computer can crash, or if I plug it back in if it didnt crash when I unplugged it. All of these crashes started happening when I started using the Rode Podcaster microphone. And back when I used the Samson CO3U I could even get this crash if I loaded up audacity and recorded something and tried to play it back to myself, It would sometimes crash then as well. Iv'e even had it crash while pressing disconnect on ventrilo. These two microphones are USB microphones. Note that these crashes would also just randomly occur back about a half a year ago, it dosnt really do that anymore, nor does it come up with an error message telling me about a blue screen error anymore once I start back up. It also, very rarely still happens when a LOT of things are going on on the computer at once. Sometimes if Im trying to load a lot of videos or just things in general at one time, I will experience this crash. Not ALL of the crashes have multicolored screens, none of them have had blue screens, but they almost always have a buzzing noise in the headphones.
Finally, I must say I'm getting quite tired of this. If I right click on Computer and go to manage then audio devices and all of that stuff, I see, High Definition Audio Device (AMD High Def audio device used to be there, but I deleted it because I thought there was a driver conflict). There is also the Rode Podcaster, and VIA High Definition Audio. Though I also think there are Realtek drivers on my computer as well.
If someone could help me with this, it would be much appreciated, thanks!
Also, one more note. Whenever it would crash when I loaded Sony Vegas, it would crash when it was loading the sound portion of it. And these crashes are sometimes hit or miss, because sometimes I can load up X-Split with no problems, but sometimes I can't. Same would go for when my audacity would crash, its just random sometimes.
