    Accidently disabled microphone

I was trying to work on something and was having a problem, so I disabled my microphone to see if it would help, figuring I could just enable it later. However, when I go into sound under my control panel and click "recording," it says no audio devices are installed. Does anyone know how I can get my microphone back?

Hello there & welcome to Seven Forums.

Try to right click on the blank space under "no audio devices are installed" then check both "show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devices", from there you should be able to enable your microphone.

So now I'm having another problem: The sound coming out of my speakers is quieter than it was before, even with the volume turned all the way up, and my computer is producing a kind of static sound.
