    usb headset mic problem

Hi all.. I have no idea what's wrong here.
I recently bought a soundblaster tactic 3d alpha headset, and it came with a USB adapter.
the headset itself works well when i use it to listen to something, but the mic volume is very low. it is set to the default as well.

in the sound settings, when i have the mic put into the USB, it shows no slide for a mic boost at all. there is only a mic volume setting. same with the settings in the control panel that came with drivers. I have installed all drivers and updated them.

I found that when i unplug the mic from the USB adapter and plug it directly into my soundcard, im able to get a good volume but only through the mic boost in the options.

can anyone help me to resolve this issue? i'll plug the mic directly into the soundcard if i have to, but i'd rather leave it in the USB adapter.

You have two different functions (devices). When you plug it in using USB it is digital only and controlled by the Creative software and what it will let you do. When you plug it into the sound card, it's analog and then controlled by the PC's sound card and it's functions.

Have you checked the Creative site for any drivers or updated drivers?
