Windows 7: Realtek HD Audio Non Working Rear Speakers

Sometimes a driver re-installation can fix the problem.
Use the Realtek software to uninstall what's already there.
Restart. Windows will load the generic sound driver.
Install the Realtek software.

If that doesn't fix it, then I'm out of ideas.

My rear speaker tests out ok but the player does not play music on the rear.

The windows program speaker test is ok on each speaker. Even the realtek speaker tests are successful.. but the PLayer is the problem. The player will not play on the rear. I even tried other players but none work on the rear. So something is wrong with the Windows Media player in Windows 7.

Each speaker will play a Sound if I do a speaker test in Windows 7 or Realtek application.. but the Windows media player is not playing music on the rear.
