speaker symbol appear in middle of monitor

    speaker symbol appear in middle of monitor


    A speaker symbol and a blue line appears in the middle of my monitor, and then goes away. I've tried clicking it, and nothing happens.
    Anyone have this problem, or know what it is?

    Audio is normal during showing of speaker symbol in middle of screen.It shows for a few moments doing nothing, No response to clicks.

    Does your monitor have speakers?
    It could be the volume for the monitors and not anything related to Windows 7.
    Try disabling the volume using the monitors adjustment buttons.

    I think you might be on to something. I am using an old LCD TV as a monitor on the RGB-PC setting.
    However the speakers aren't connected to the PC.I'm using regular PC speakers connected directly to the PC. Same set-up never showed
    up when using XP. Only thing connected to LCD is video line.

    I do believe this has something to do with it.
