Making sound work.. switching between speaks and headset

More issues with this ****ing shitty operating system that is Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

I need to get sound working. I have two sound devices that I need to use.

    1) A headset. This is USB based.

    2) Speakers. These use jacks. No USB. No software.

Yes, they work. Windows has ****ing issues with them.

I need to do the following:

    1) Make both of them work.

    2) Be able to switch between them without shutting down Windows 7. In Vista I used to right click on the speaker/volume icon in the task bar and then click "Playback Devices". I had the option to choose both. When I wanted to use speakers, I would right click and disable the USB headset. It would default to the speakers. I could then listen to audio with my speakers. If I wanted to switch back to my head set, I could do that as well. The method would be the same as described above.

Is this possible in Wodoze 7 Pro 64bit? If so please instruct me on how to do this.

    Hi

You can switch between different devices but not have 2 active at the same time. Select the device that you want active and then use the 'Set Default' buton, a green tick should appear next to the active device.

You can then switch by doing the same process. You will find that some applications will not pick up a change in default device without restarting.
