Sound Problem

I have tried to play mpegs and Avi files on Nero Showtime (Nero 7 ) and also on Divx 8, Realplayer and Quicktime but I get no sound.

I do get sound on Win Media Player only.

I installed Klite codec pack for Win 7 64bit.

Do I have to install the 32bit codec pack for the 32bit programs to work?

Any advice would be apreciated.

The codecs aren't dependent on bit that applies to the additional software klite installs in addition to the actual codecs.
That's part of the reason I quit using klite sometime ago and started using the cccp pack instead.
I doubt it's a codec problem though as they wouldn't work in media player either if that was the case.

Do you get sound using this program.
VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework!

sorry to ask you to install yet another player, but it's the only one I know of that works independently of the system codecs.
