No volume slider

Hi,

I just got a new Toshiba Satellite 750-136 laptop (Conexant SmartAudio HD). I am using an external mic and the only way to listen to it is by selecting the "Listen to device" but you get a delay which is confusing when your speaking. On my computer I can listen to my device through going to speakers and adjusting the micrphone slider without no echo but I have no option for this the only option in the speaker bit is Master Volume.
