    Problem someone help please!

    Hello.

I just bought a new SteelSeries Siberia v2 Gaming headset. I tried plugging in just a couple of days ago into my computer. When I did, no input on Skype or my Recording Devices came up. The mic uses standard audio jacks. But, I plugged it into another computer to get it to work, and it worked perfectly. PLEASE HELP!

    Hi,

OK. I see you have a Logitech microphone installed. Do you have a Logitech webcam?

Yes I do, I have been using it as a microphone for the last couple years. I got this headset to use it instead of the webcam microphone.

OK. Can you find a way to disable the microphone on the webcam? Perhaps a setting in the Logitech software?

I suspect the Logitech microphone and new headset aren't working well together.

Umm, would unplugging it do the same thing? Because I don't really need it plugged in anymore anyway.

Yes it would. But I also recommend uninstalling the Logitech software aswell.

Is the headset mic (or sound card seeing as that is what it is plugged into) set as the default recording device?
