I am not really sure, I don't see any inputs in my recording devices except for Digital Audio (S/PDIF).

I am not really sure, because all I see in the recording devices is Digital Audio (S/PDIF).
That means it is running on the default Windows audio driver and you need to install the appropriate driver for the onboard sound or sound card if using one. From what you list as the motherboard it looks to be an Intel OEM only board and used in a computer like this Gateway,
Gateway Support - 1009208 Gateway GM5266E Media Center Computer
which from looking at what is available for driver downloads has the Sigamtel audio on it. I would go with the Vista driver for it from here,
Gateway Support - Downloads & Support Documents - Desktop / GM Series / GM5266e
version number 6.10.5405.0 is the one you want.
OK, I downloaded the driver you linked me. Everytime I start the setup, its gives me a error message saying "This is not the correct audio driver for this system. The installer will now exit." What do I do?
Oh wait, I think I downloaded the wrong one. Just a second.
its worth trying this to see the mic, right click on the speaker icon bottom right of the taskbar, select recording devices ,in the sound window that opens right click somewhere in the large pane and click ,show disabled devices.
if it is there right click the device and click enable, then set as default.
fingers crossed. :)

If the one from Gateway won't work be worth giving the one linked too here a try,
Please Help, Desperate! No "Stereo Mix" Selection Available
OK, I downloaded both that were at update 6.10.5405.0, and I extracted them. When I tryed to run the setup, it gave me the error message "This is not the correct audio driver for this system. The installer will now exit.". I tried it with both the Sigmatel HD Audio Driver and Audio Driver. What do I do?
