Strange annoying sound after exiting game.

Hey, I have an Asus Xonar DX audio card and every single time after exiting Fifa 12 it makes this load annoying sound, it seems to repeat the last millisecond or two of audio very quickly at loud volume.

Now it does this each time I exit Fifa 12 and it's annoying because I have to go to device manager and disable/enable my device again for the sound to go away.

So I was hoping one of you might know what the problem is.

Also all my drivers are up-to-date.

It would more likely be a problem with the Game. Poorly written games can cause audio/video problems after exiting.

Repost this in the Gaming section and maybe one of the Gamers will have a more definitive answer for you. Apparently your sound is working OK except for this one problem.

Try downloading Driver Sweeper and completely remove the ASUS Xonar drivers.
    Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper

Then download and reinstall the drivers from the ASUS website.
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Multimedia- ASUS Xonar DX

It might also be that particular game. Try playing a different game and exit. If the problem persists, it'll be an audio problem, if not you should return the game and get a new copy.

I have the same problem as well, I tried to uninstall old driver and install the new one of Asus DX. but still the same problem. I exit the game by press windows key and right click >>> Exit on FIFA 12
Has everyone know how to fix that?
    thank you

    fix

Disable GX in Xonar DX Audio Center...solved the problem for me

    cheers, Ragus

    from the ASUS forum:
"I'm not sure you understand how GX mode works.

Unless your game uses EAX/OpenAL, you should keep it off. Otherwise, you run the risk of crashes, lockups, and weird audio behavior, such as your repeating sound effects. There is a on/off toggle for GX mode for a reason..

Since many games use their own proprietary audio standard, GX mode is not needed.

The only other time you need GX mode on is if you bother using that voice changer application in your Xonar Audio Center. GX mode is required in order for that application to function properly.

Hope this clears things up for some people.."
