Wrong channel mapping of center/woofer in windows 7

    Hi, i have a C-Media CM6501 pretty old 7.1 sound card
Windows can identify it and it works..
problem is, my center speaker plays the bass and my subwoofer is playing the center's sounds..
I have searched for weeks a solution but have found none!
The jack connections are right (center and woofer are the same jack) and on media player I actually can swap between them.
My problem is with music and gaming on the computer..
Also, i don't have and can't find an application for this sound card.
    help!!
    thanks,

    hamami

Do you have Windows 7 (or at least Vista) specific sound drivers for this card? XP drivers won't work or work correctly since Vista/Win 7 handle some sound functions differently. SOME sound cards will not work with the Windows installed drivers, either. We have seen this on the Dell forum, that users must have the Dell drivers for proper operation.

This appears to be a Win 7 driver, give it a try.

    doesn't work

That driver won't work on my computer for some reason i get error 39, windows can't load the drivers or something like that..
but i see that my windows does recognize the actual driver for my card, in an older version..
still, sub and center are swapped..

    thanks
