    Crumble noise, while viewing video??

Alright, i got this.. audio / video problem.

I'm running Windows 7 with a Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro and Nvidia 8800 GTS or something..

Now, whenever i play audio with Winamp or some other non graphic intensive player it seems to not give me those crunchy noises.

But if i view something on youtube.. or even just VLC/Windows media player it goes off the charts...

I got all the new drivers, everything is up to date, i even switched the sound card slot at my MB.. Still the same problem.

And it isnt constantly, so it isnt really an electric problem.
Now what i mean with constantly, it just does that interference noise when im playing video. (sorta figured i had cleared that up).
I didn't have this problem before on Windows XP..

So, i guess no one here knows how to solve this?

I had a similar problem following only one of my installs. I uninstalled the audio device via Device Manager, booted and reinstalle the audio driver. Fixed it.

Another user reported that dropping the volume to zero for PC speaker solved his similar problem.

This is starting to make no sense at all.

On my onboard motherboard soundcard theres no probs at all, this is just with the plugged in X-Fi card o.O

seems this noise just comes from when my computer is loading something.

hah, meh. I'll just drop my comp by some experts and let them deal with this. This ain't in my job description as a gamer, haha.

Alright semi-bump and a nice lil update on this whole X-Fi issue.

seems this has to do with the motherboard and its settings.

Raid-sata configuration and how the RAM is organized has alot to do with this issue since some data is interfering, not to mention the whole issue with the gfxcard.

    So, my options are these..

    1. Flash the bios
    2. downgrade to XP where i will be free of all these retarded issues.
