    sound quit coming from HP HD Monitor


    I was getting all sounds from my monitor (no speakers plugged into tower) now when I check the sounds in control panel it says no audio device installed. Anyone know a fix for this? Thanks! :)

    If you are using HDMI connection to the monitor for both video and sound, the sound is in the HDMI signal. Check to make sure the HDMI is set as the defaul audio playback device.

    I have an HD4850 sound card, too. It generates the HDMI sound internally on the card.

    I found the problem I had Themes disabled in services. Thanks!

Hi there im in need of help please sound is not coming out from any external audio devices from my computer and from my computer itself. The digital audio device is called: Digital Audio (S/PIDF). AND I ALSO DOWNLOADED REALTELK TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT DONT WORK. MY COMPUTER IS RUNNING WINDOWS 7...
So, I hooked up an HDMI cable to my monitor and enabled it and set it as a default device, but no sound is coming out of the TV. I don't know why this is happening. Currently, I'm playing sound out of my speakers. I got a screenie as well.
It happened after I muted a DVD in Media Center. The sound option is checked and I've tried a System Restore to no avail. Audio seems to work on everything else. I'm baffled.
