    Windows 7 Audio works partially

    Hello all,

i recently upgraded my pc and i mounted on an MSI 870-C45 motherboard, with a 7.1 Realtek ALC889 audio integrated in it.
    I've installed Windows 7 Professional x64.

I've installed the drivers that are on the motherboars's cd and i rebooted, as usual, but no sound come from the speakers.
I've tried to open the audio options and i tried something, like to set my 5.1 speakers to make all the spearkers work.

The strange fact is that i did it!
When i test the sound in the configuration panel i hear, one at a time, all the speakers playing the test sound.
But when i play a song, or i load a video on youtube and such things, i can't hear anything!
From the audio control panel i see the volume bar "alive" with the volume that goes up and down..so it should work..

But nothing, not a single sound

Does anyone can give me some advice??

Hi and welcome to Seven Forums!

You might try installing the audio codecs:
    Realtek
After accpeting the terms you need to download the first driver from any of the 3 servers on the right.

i've downloaded the newest driver and it worked!
I thought Seven would find himself if there were new drivers...
And most of all i thought that the driver on the cd, designed for Win 7, would work!! :P

Thank you, your advice was helpful!! ^_^
