Windows Media Player - No audio on auto palayback of DVD
Strange issues with Windows Media Player. If I insert a DVD and have set Windows Media Player as my default program for playing DVD's I get no audio, either through my Creative Fatality Card, onboard audio, or USB headset. After much messing around I discovered that if I cancelled the automatic playback (upon insertion of a DVD, go into Windows Media Player and play the dvd from there, I get sound! I have tried this on a fresh install of Windows, same issue. I have creative software drivers installed and the additional Digital 5.1 surround pack to enable 5.1 through my optical cable. A lot of people have complained about Windows Media Player audio issues. I have no issue with any other program including Windows Media Center. Is this just an inherent quirk with Windows Media Player?
