    problem installing supreme xf2 soundcard


    hello,


    i have prolem with installing my soundcard (supreme fx2) i have inserted it into the port on my motheboard but it doesnt show me anything on my pc i cant even find the driver for it help me plss and im not sure if i need some cabels to attach it on my motherboard i have just attached it into my pci1x slot

    specifications

    dell xps studio 435mt

    8gb ddr3

    i7 920

    gts 240

    Capone, welcome to the Seven Forums.

    Might have something to do with the fact that those SupremeFX "sound cards" aren't actually sound cards at all. All they are is a riser card that contains the audio chip and speaker jacks (usually made by ADI) instead of it being mounted somewhere on the motherboard. They also only work with the motherboards that they came with.

    Looking at the available downloads for that model Dell,

    Drivers & Downloads

    it either came with a X-Fi (Xtreme Audio or Titanium), or has Realtek onboard.

    thanks i will try to download it and i have 1 more problem

    i have a raptor 80gb hdd and i want to install my os on there but i cant see it in the windows installation menu there is only my 500 gb 7200rpm hdd

    Right-click Click Computer and then Manage, select (Storage) -> Disk Management and look for the 80GB drive. It probably needs to be initialized and formatted.

    Good chance it is gone bad then. Can't diagnose stuff I can't see.
