Win 7 RC detects mic jack as speaker jack.

I used to be able to reset the jack using the Sigmatel Control Panel in Windows Vista, but it seems to have disappeared after the upgrade.

I don't use my front jack for my mike because it's damaged.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to install new drivers for Windows 7...

Try to find Windows 7 drivers (probably beta), if there is non, try with Vista driver.
That should work.

Well, not Windows has decided to hijack it and now calls it High Definition Audio.

I found some drivers from the Microsoft Update Catalog, but Windows refuses to install the drivers.

try with Vista drivers, that worked for me before official Win 7 drivers came up.

Nope, Windows just gives me an error code 21 and tells me it can't load the driver.
