Realtek / AC97 ? Does this soundcard really Suck
I have Asus P7H55-V Motherboard, which has onboard Realtek High Defination Audio Soundcard, but i'm just sick of its performance it doesn't go much loud comparing to my external SoundBlaster Live 6 Channel Soundcard, the real difference feels when you plugn in the headphones.
So if I plug headphones while realtek is enabled I hear very low music / sound, but if SBLive is enabled the headphone works awesome. man wth is this. This is a good mobo so I think it must be a good soundcard, under control panel I can see :
*Realtek High Defination Audio(Speakers)
*Realtek Digital Output
*Realtek Digital Output(optical)
but I can only hear sounds from the first one, if I enable any other of these I can see the graphical equalizer going up and down but can't hear anything.
The main issue is about Headphones, Even after changing 2 headphones still same low sound issue on realtek.
I have latest drivers and utility installed for realktek, and under bios I get an option of frot panel ac97 / realtek HD, I think this sound card is either really suck or I'm missing something to understand this. Here are 2 images :
