Windows 7: Gapless flac playback in WMP 12?

Gapless flac playback in WMP 12?

I love the flac format but one thing I've noticed recently is that it doesn't seem to playback gapless using WMP 12. I use Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" as a gauge. The same holds true for concerts such as Nirvana's "Roma". Anyway, DSOTM will play gapless in mp3 but not so in flac. I've tried two other players (foobar2000 and MediaJukebox 14) to see if I'd experience the same results. No sir, both players played DSOTM seamlessly with no gaps and if I burn the flac files they will have a gapless playback. I use EAC to rip, dbPoweramp to make batch conversions and Burrrn to burn, naturally enough, to compact disc. So why the WMP anomaly? Everything else works seamlessly, flawlessly. I really like WMP 12. (Is that so wrong?) I'm not the interested in using another media player. I downloaded Winamp yesterday and it was constantly frozen! Could not select items and use them. Terrible experience. It's gone. Has anyone else had the same experience and can anything be done to correct it? Or do I have to resort to using foobar2000 every time I'd like to playback some DSOTM? Thanks!
