Hello green,
You get sound from your microphone? I don't think I am understanding. Sound should come from your sound card. You plug the speakers into the back of the computer and into the sound card (green jack). The mic receives sound. My mic is USB so it doesn't use any jack other than the USB port, but if you use the sound card, it goes into the purple jack
Do you have the audio driver installed? This should be right: http://support.acer.com/product/defa...x?modelId=2192 | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built PC (In French it is called "PC de moi") OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel Core i7-3820 CPU OC @ 3.80GHz Motherboard Gigabyte G1.Assassin2 Memory 8.00GB (2GBx4) DDR3 1866MHz Graphics Card Nvidia-Gigabyte GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB SLI-soon 680 Sound Card On board Creative SB X-Fi Monitor(s) Displays acer 24" H243H Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 Mouse Tek Republic Wired Laser 3600 dpi Gaming Mouse PSU Silent Pro 1000w gold 80+ Case Azza Hurrican 2000 Cooling Liquid CPU cooler & fan Hard Drives 120GB OCZ Vertex III SSD,

Was kinda in a hurry.I meant my mic receives sound in my room.My sound driver is fine.I got a mic built in my laptop,it works fine. What I want to do is get the sound to work directly off the sound card, not just pick the sound up from the mic when I key in on chat etc. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer aspire 5551-2036 OS window 7 64b SP1 CPU AMD P320 2.1ghz Graphics Card ATI radeon HD 4250 Screen Resolution 1024x768 native Hard Drives 320gb hitachi |

Do you want the sound card to act as a microphone? Or do you want to use your sound card and connect the mic to it? Or do you want the mic to work without having to "key in"... Details for this one, please. Very specific.
Um... or do you want to be able to hear from the sound card (to the speakers) what goes into the mic? heh.... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built PC (In French it is called "PC de moi") OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel Core i7-3820 CPU OC @ 3.80GHz Motherboard Gigabyte G1.Assassin2 Memory 8.00GB (2GBx4) DDR3 1866MHz Graphics Card Nvidia-Gigabyte GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB SLI-soon 680 Sound Card On board Creative SB X-Fi Monitor(s) Displays acer 24" H243H Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 Mouse Tek Republic Wired Laser 3600 dpi Gaming Mouse PSU Silent Pro 1000w gold 80+ Case Azza Hurrican 2000 Cooling Liquid CPU cooler & fan Hard Drives 120GB OCZ Vertex III SSD,
