Hi,
I'm trying to get the two front audio jacks (Microphone and headphones) to only receive Teamspeak 3 audio while everything else uses the rear jacks as normal. This way I can hear other players voice through my headset while everything else like movie or game sound comes through my surround sound as usual.
The problem is I'm missing the one option that will allow me to do this. In my Realtek HD Audio Manager I don't have the "Device Advanced Settings" link at the top that would give me the option to have the front and rear use different audio streams.
I find it hard to believe that my machine or the onboard Realtek soundcard could not handle doing this. Am I missing something? Is there an option or registry hack I can use to make the option appear? Or is this just too advanced a task for my Dell XPS 8300 machine to handle?
EDIT: Here are some screenshots.
First the options I'm looking for:
And second my Realtek HD Audio Manager control panel to show that I don't have the option I need for I don't know what reason.
EDIT #2: Things I've tried:
Using R2.67 software from Realtek Downloads page
Using R2.65 software from CNET after R2.67 didn't work
Lots or swearing
A few beer to help stop the swearing about the option not showing up for no apparent reason
