if you're talking about playing back music, then - some media players allow you to take the levels higher or have an equaliser with a 'pre-amp' or similar - a great example is winamp
- ...or you could get better/louder speakers.
- ...or the music file may have been recorded at a low level to begin with.

All sound in general would be good, but audio will suffice if it's all I can get >_<! | My System Specs | | OS Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 7600 Multiprocessor Free CPU AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1055T Processor Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer INC. You could try VLC player for playing the audio files. This player has settings in the options to increase the volume level over and above 100%. But you should be careful in increasing the volume too much as this may damage the speakers.
One of the best method would be to have hi-powered speakers with built-in volume control. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Toshiba Satellite P775-S7232 OS MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 CPU i5-2410M 2.3GHz (2.9GHz Turbo-Boost) Sandy Bridge 32nm Motherboard Toshiba PHRAA ver. Go to the Windows Speaker Properties and enable Loudness Equalization.
You can also access it from the VIA or Realtek software, if you installed the one for your board. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-built OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit CPU Intel Core i7-3770 Motherboard Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3 Memory G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT Graphics Card Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6670 Sound Card Realtek ALC892 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster P2370HD, Dell 1703FPT Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Deluxe 250 Mouse Logitech MX518 PSU SeaSonic M12II SS-500GM Case Lian Li PC-9F Cooling Zalman CNPS9900LED Hard Drives Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ Internet Speed 8 Mbps |
