How do you check the version of the lame encoder?

So how do I do that? I have lame installed in my Audacity folder in Program files. I can look at the lame.exe and lame_enc.dll file properties, but I see nothing that tells me the version. Thanks.

There may be several ways, but here is one:

Use Lame to encode an mp3. Then use a program such as Encspot, which will show you many properties of the mp3--including the Lame version.

I figured out how to do this without additional software. If anyone else needs to know, or be reminded, Preferences: Libraries reports the Lame version.
