SSD, some of them are not actually silent. When I'm working a large Photoshop file on my Intel X-25M SSD, I hear very faint noises. Look it up online, SSD's are not always silent. That is my first guess ...

It could be speaker interference. Try moving the computer away from them, and position them away from other electronics. Attempt to silence (turn off) other electronics in the area just as a test. Say you have a mini-refrigerator nearby: its power draw can interfer with the speakers. After all this, make sure you have the most recent audio drivers installed for your soundcard/motherboard. Make sure they are plugged in well enough.
Attempt to plug the speakers into another audio jack on your computer. I think computer fans interfered with my last audio setup.
Ferrite rings are rather effective on filtering out noise on speaker cables.
You can buy them cheaply in Maplins, Radiospares, Tandy, Radioshack, or failing all else - on eBay.
Basically you wind the speaker cables around the rings in a specific way, and in general you'd fit one on each end of each speaker cable.

does this happen even if you use earphones/headphones?
sometimes you need to go into control panel>sound> right click the speaker into properties>advanced> and change your Hz rate, try 41000hz.
If this only happens on your speaker, it could mean that ur speaker is bad. You should post what speakers you have. Also if possible, tell us how old your computer is.
but for me, my problem was because of the speaker hz rate. once i changed it to 41000hz that usually fixes the problem.
