New Computer, No Sound What so Ever

    Okay the thing is Headphones dont even work!

    Nothings wrong with the sound card or anything because i tried my parents TV Monitor w/HDMI and everything worked, :/

    The pic in your first post highlite speakers and do configure follow the wizard, then go to control panel / sound and make sure it's configured right there. Let us know if you have sound then.

    HDMI audio uses a sound chip on the Video Card. It is separate from the PC sound device.

    I don't think he's using hdmi on his desktop comp, only when he used his parent tv, so yes if he's using the green speaker cable he needs to configure the sound.

    He mentioned there was sound with HDMI. I was just pointing out that the HDMI audio is separate from the regular PC audio/speakers.

    Okay one thing, with my old desktop i used to have the Audio cable connected to a Green Port in the back of my Desktop into my Monitor with the Monitor played the sound.

    and when i goto Configure the sound, no sound comes through the monitor
