New Computer, No Sound What so Ever

Okay first things first im using the same monitor and cable i used for my old Desktop,
with my old desktop i had to use the cable with green ends on it for the Audio to work, and the Audio would come out the Monitor, now i have a new desktop and plug everything in the same way it was on my old desktop and nothings working?, ive tried nearly everything in the Realtek HD Audio Manager, the Sound is turned all the way up.

Help? no sound is doing my head in,

P.s, nothing cant be wrong with the drivers or anything because i tried my parents TV with a HDMI cable and everything worked, and no dont go saying use there TV, i canty they wont let me
and this monitor doesnt have HDMI,

What is set as your default Playback Device?

Mine is "Speakers". If you have it set to HDMI (like when it was connected to the TV) it should kill the speakers:

What happens when you unplug the speakers and then plug them back in? When I'm fooling around with mine it always pops up a prompt asking me what I just plugged in. Is that happening for you?

You had speakers, they were just built into the monitor. Assuming you have the plugs in the right place it ought to work. Sorry if this seems obvious, but is there a volume level on the monitor you could check?

Plug a headphone into the rear GREEN speaker jack and see if there is audio in the headphones. That will isolate the problem to either the PC or the monitor speakers.
