The crackling noises are a common reported problem. If you do a search on this forum section you will see many posts about it. Unfortunately there is no "one fix" for the problem. Each has to be individually handled on it's own. There are some general issues such as wi-fi and bluetooth causing the noise. Video and sound
drivers are another often noted issue (update both and see if it helps - only use the Acer supplied sound
driver, a non-PC vendor sound
driver may not work or work correctly).
Another possibility is the shared Interrupt (IRQ) that the sound is on. Sound is a low priority item in Windows and is on a shared Interrupt with a higher priority device. The higher priority device "interrupting" the audio can cause dropouts, clicks, static or whatever. One thing to try is to Uninstall the audio device in the Device Manager (do not check the box to uninstall the
drivers) then restart the PC. When Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound, sometimes this puts it on a different shared IRQ and can fix problems.
