New Computer + Compaq S2021 = No Sound

Hey Guys,

I recently got a New Gaming Desktop, Custom Built and Ive Encountered a Problem with the Sound, i made a Thread once before but that Died and Failed and i really need help soo ill explain everything better and ill add Photos up.

PC Specs:
750w Power Supply
AMD FX 8150 GHz Multi-core (8 total)
2 Tb HDD
12 GB Ram GHz
Board: ASRock 880GMH/U3S3
NVIDIA High Definition Audio (4x)
Realtek High Definition Audio
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 2GB
HP Compaq S2021 [Monitor] (19.9"vis, s/n CN41150ZVC, April 2011)

Okay so the problem is, Before i bought my new Computer i had a Compaq Desktop and what i did for the sound to work was a Black cable with Green ends and i connected them into the Green Audio ports in my New Computer (The same places as my old Desktop)

Now after i did that on my old computer the sound would work, but now with my new computer nothing works? ive tried everything in the sound panels.

And yes my Monitor audio is turned all the way up!

Please Help!

Does your monitor/speaker setup have HDMI? Why not try that?

Have you tried all the ports? Try checking the cable also...if it's working or not.

From your other thread we can see headphones don't work either, but to cover everything, first test the Monitors speakers as well by plugging a MP3 player or a mobile phone in if you can.

If the monitor is working plug your cable into the green port on the MB and plug the other end into your Monitor.

Select your speakers in the Sound dialog and set as default.

Open Realtek HD Audio Manager and attach a screen shot of the speaker configuration and if you have Advanced options in the top right or somewhere attach that too.

BTW You don't live near Ballarat do you?

PS. If you got the HDMI working mark your thread "How Can i get my HDMI to Actually Work?" as solved. Thanks.
