| | No sound to HiFi speakers when HDMI Cable Connected Hi I have connect my laptop using an HDMI cable to my TV. And from my tv I have connected my two HiFi speakers. When the TV is on an AV channel I have sound coming from the TV and HiFi speakers but when I switch it to the HDMI source channel, sound only comes from the TV and not HiFi speakers. This is frustrating because I want to watch movies on my TV through my laptop and get the feel of some surround sound through the HiFi speakers but it is not working!!!! Please Help! Thanks |

| | The problem is not your PC but your TV and how it handles HDMI audio. There is nothing we can do for this, it is strictly an issue with your TV and how it routes audio internally (or to external devices). |

| | Have to agree with fireberd, my TV does the same i.e. in AV mode it will route audio out to the HiFi but not when in HDMI so its not your laptop its just the way the TV is designed. |
