Sound is playing very fast, sounds like the Chipmunks.
Intel(R) D945GCCR (integrated on motherboard I believe)
OS: Windows 7 x32
I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and have looked for updated drivers and found none. Problem still persists.
Any help would be appreciated.
It kind of sounds as though it is a program that is set too high. Exactly what sounds are you talking about...all of them, or just those for audio and video?
Everything, I mean even if I'm on call on Skype, the person sounds like a freaking CHIPMUNK
You have nooo Idea how ugly this is. I've tried reinstalling the drivers several times, doesn't help. I'm dying to fix it. Pleeeeaaase
The only thing I can think of is that there is a problem outside of the driver or sound card. You might try doing a System Restore to a point prior to the beginning of the problem, recover to a backup image made prior to the problem, run sfc /scannow, or do a repair install. If none of these work, then I would suspect a defective motherboard. Is it new or in warranty?
The problem is entirely driver based. Is this a new install of Windows 7? According to Intel, the board is not driver supported for Windows 7. You could try installing Vista sound drivers. You can locate the current (Vista) drivers at the link below.

The Board is still under a warranty, I'll get it checked tomorrow. But It worked perfectly fine. Just suddenly it started acting this way. The Video's even on YouTube are on a fast forward mode so I doubt there is any hardware issue here. They were all working fine. I tried reinstalling the windows to x32 bit from x64 but that didn't solve the issue either.
I'm sitting here on the forum from the moment I posted my question, you all can assume how freaking irritating this thing is to me. I'll try installing Vista's drivers now, I hope they work
Can't seem to figure out how Can I install Vista driver. When I uninstall my existing driver, it asks me to restart, when It gets restarted it starts searching and installing the driver itself, without any option to cancel or quit -.-
Just install over the top of the current drivers. The download is an installer. Restart the PC after the install if the update doesn't prompt it.
Downloaded AUD_Vista_Win7_6.0.1.6201_PV.exe and installed, of no use. The same driver is of Windows 7 and Vista. Still the problem persists. I'm guessing it has something to do with Windows Media Player Configuration, as the troubleshooter only detects it. I'm guessing It's unable to fix it.
if you reinstalled windows and are getting the same issue, it tends towards hardware issue. You also mentioned it worked before so there is absolutely no reason for it not to work after a win reinstall. Btw, when you say it worked before, was it under win 7 or other version? A way to test this and see if it is hardware or not Downloads | XBMC . Download live version and boot from usb stick or cd. It's completly independent from windows and windows drivers and does not need installation. See if that works. You may also want to try Geexbox http://www.geexbox.org/download/ which is dedicated for separate booting.
