    Surround sound

Hi all. Upgraded my OS from XP to Win7 (again) Before I had just headphones.. Now I have problem.

My sound card Realtek ALC883 @ VIA VT8237A High Definition Audio Controller
    Cpu AMD Athlon 64, 2200 MHz (11 x 200) 3500+
    Motherboard Asus M2V-MX (2 PCI, 1 PCI-E x16, 2 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Video, LAN)

    And I got Suond system
LG HT355SD Home Theater System - 300W Home Theatre System - LG Electronics SA

I connected my Home theater with RCA connector

My problem is that I can hear surrond sound.. (only 4 speakers work..) I've tried everything, but nothing helped.. It let me chose Stereo or surround, but it still the same effect.. I'm tired of all this ... I know I could hear 5.1 Sound, but I don't hear. I haven't heard with XP and I can't hear with Win7.

    Do you have any solutions?

You may need to use the optical or Coaxial out, vs a stereo adapter as well as setting it to 5.1 in Windows.

justyysss, welcome to the Seven Forums.

This has nothing to do with Windows or any settings you can make in Windows or the Realtek controls. You are making a stereo connection between the computer and the home theater system, and it is entirely dependent on how well (and whether you have it enabled) it handles Dolby Pro Logic II and how well it upmixes the stereo source to 5.1/surround.

Also that cable you posted is just a stereo cable; mini jack to left/right RCA. Looking at the manual for that HT that is also the best you're going to get as it only has stereo inputs, with no optical or coax connections for a digital connection.

Best to leave it set to stereo in Windows and the Realtek controls, and turn on the Dobly Pro Logic II setting on the HT.

    Thank you for information.

I found the problem. :) I'll try to solve it somehow...
    1) I need to buy a sound card (PCI connection), atleast with one of Digital output connection like in the picture --->>> Image | Hardware Secrets
    2) I have to find a cable, which one end would be 2 tulips [2RCA] (connecting the HT), and the other oneDigital Output(analog connection I already have on PC) like in this picture --->>> Image | Hardware Secrets
    3) Connect all the wires and listen fine sound :)

But there is problem.. Where I can find a cable like that? Sound cards I will find easily, but the cable I can't find nowhere.. Have any ideas where I could get this? (I've looked everywhere in my town shops, but could find anything like that.) I you know where I could get cable like that online, or atleast show me how it looks, I really appreciate that.:)

Save your time and money looking for a cable (which any old cheap RCA cable will do) or buying a sound card, as an digital connection won't work. This is the back panel of your LG HTS,

There is one very important thing missing from there with regards to what you're contemplating, there is no digital input jack; either coax or optical.
