Windows 7: Asus Xonar D2X

I have this sound card and I found that everytime I booted hsmgr.exe or hsmgr64.exe would pop up a warning window asking me if the file was safe to run.

There are two files needed for the Asus control center to work.

On each pop up show more info to find the path of each process.
Go to the process and go to the properties of the file. You will need to "unblock" the program.

In my case I had a process in both "syswow64" and "system" folders.

This stops that annoying popup.
(telling the computer to always allow the process to run doesn't work, it seems to forget on a restart)

Just thought I should share this info and in return someone tell me why my sound doesnt output more than stereo through optical out.

I have that sound card and had the same problem but that was easy to fix. The other problem is that the recording functions don't show up at all in the Asus Xonar console.

Hi I have the Very same Xonar D2 PCI and its fine with the last RC / Beta Drivers, am waiting for them to release Windows 7 drivers soon, Left message in the forums, hope they see that. Anyway my Audio goes to a Receiver not just speakers and optical out, everything works, and my sound is 5.1 surround too. DTS or DD with DVD and MCe it works wonderful
