For my own music to be used in 'GTA: San Andreas' on the custom radio thing, they need to be WAV files. Is there anyway I can convert them to WAV for free and effectively?
I don't wanna play them in WMP in the background as with GTA you can get commentary after songs and little adverts which are really funny :)

tutorial is a bit dated, but the options/plugin are still there.
I would recommend using a free program called Audacity, you will need the mp3 encoder to work with mp3s.

remember that MP3 is a hideously LOSSY compression format in the first place
I think you would be better off saving your music in FLAC in the first place and THEN convert to MP3 for Ipods etc. Converting FLAC to WAV is not a problem since both formats are LOSSLESS
