Increase effect of Fn + F5 & F6 buttons

On my laptop the F5 and F6 buttons only change the sound level of about 2% with the Fn button each time. I would much prefer it if each time I pressed it it would change by about 10%. Is there a way to change how much effect the buttons make.

As you have a new Dell laptop, it may be better to ask questions about it on the Dell Community users forums. There is a forum specifically for Laptop Hardware, along with software sections, disc drive section, etc.

Home - Dell Community

There are several "user specialists" (Dell calls them "rock stars") and other knowledgeable users. I have "rock star" status but I primarily deal with desktops.

Sorry, I saw you post on a Dell XPS8300 question and assumed you also had a Dell.

(BTW, your answer was wrong - the basic Integrated audio will also do 7.1 surround sound, without the THX Tru Studio Software).

I've searched up my Audio card and apparently it is capable of 7.1 surround... would this be when I use my optical port which is intergrated into a 3.5mm???
