Hi There. I have a Gigabyte Z68 series motherboard with an I7 2600K Chip. Plugged to that board is a OCZ SSD drive that runs the OS and other programs. There are two other separate hard drives that are plugged into the motherboard which I used for storage for my videos and music.
I am currently using Realtek Digital
driver ( with the Dolby feature ) for my sound. My problems are that when I go to any of the backup hard drives to watch videos, I have no control over the sound. I can't lower it through either the regular volume mixer nor any of the players such as WMP or VLC. The volume is just blasted out loud.
When the media is in the OCZ drive, no problem in controlling the volume.
My setup is that the digital out from my motherboard is plugged into a Sony home theater sound system. This set up rocks but again, no control on media playback on other drives. My display is plugged in using an RGB cable to my monitor ( RGB to HDMI ).
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated it.
Alex
