    Sound breaks/distorts without reason.

I've been having this problem for a few weeks and I cant find any help on this.
I'm using Foobar v1.1.11 and I am experiencing a random breaks in music playback, for a fraction of second like when you plug in a earphone jack.

I have the latest updated drivers from Realtek(check sys specs).
There is no problem in playback in WMP. I am using Foobar for the past one year with the Dolby Headphones DSP, but disabling it wont help either. I do not want to switch to WMP.

Any suggestions to solve the problem ?

I've been trying to solve this :
I learned this, that this happens not only on Foobar but any music playback. And the whole system acts as while playing games you get "spikes" i.e. it freezes up for a millisecond and then it does all the work in the next millisecond. I dont get any crashes but it is irritable.
