Aurora M9700 no audio

Hello, I found this forum site through searching google. Let me just say that I have seen similar post as mine but they were outdated and could not help me.

I know the laptop (Alienware Aurora M9700) is a rather old model but I was just given one and I really like it. Like everyone else that I've seen post for help, I am having trouble with the audio drivers once I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I've tried dozens of drivers, the Alienware.com support section (which is rather useless) windows updates and even the xp drivers that are on the original drivers cd... Nothing has worked.

I've searched high and low only to find dead links, closed message boards and tons of scanning programs that want you to pay for "whatever" after it scans your computer.

Has anyone ever found a solution to this problem? If so please let me know, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
