Windows 7: HP Audio LED Funky

HP Audio LED Funky

Hey all, hope that title didn't throw you off.

Anyways, I have an HP laptop with Windows 7 RTM running. One of the features of this laptop is a cool little bar above the keyboard with touch panel controls for the wireless, audio, and and a power switch.

Before installing Windows 7, when I would hit the audio mute button, the button would turn from a white to a orangish-red. Now that I've installed Win7, that feature no longer works. It will still mute the audio, but it will not switch colors.

The odd thing is, when I'm booting up and logging in, the audio mute button will turn the orange color, but as soon as Win7 starts up, it will return to the white.

I was wondering what HP software controlled that button, or if something else would fix it?

Thanks all!

It is probably not compatible with W7. Check for driver updates on the official website.

funky characters
I'm getting some strange characters when certain web pages load. Mostly, they're in place of punctuation and look like a little diamond with a tiny question mark in the middle. I know this has to do with the character encoding, and I found the list from which I can choose my default, but the...

Feature funky with dual monitors
I have to have dual monitors and 7 works great with them. One of the cool featurs of 7 is to be able to put up two reading panes side by side. If you have not seen this it is done by opeing say 2 Word docs. Pull one left and one to the right. They will each fill 1/2 the screen side by side. ...
