"Server Execution Failed" WMP in windows 7

I can't play any media file in WMP since I uninstalled Avast IS and installed MSE.
If I start WMP from start menu programs. A window for a nano second appeared and disappeared.
If I just double click on any media player. I get an error message instantly saying "Server Execution Failed"

Now look what solutions I have already tried:
    1. net local group "Administrators" "NT Authority\Local Service" /add
    2. Clear WMP Database.
    3. Uninstall and install WMP from Windows Features.
    4. regsvr32 jscript.dll and regsvr32 vbscript.dll command.
    5. Perform a Clean Boot.

Nothing from above solution worked for me.
Please note, I can't restore my system to that time when AMP was working fine.

Someone please help me. I can't have a fresh OS install just for this problem.

Two Problems Microsft has no answer for:

    1) I also have the 'Server Execution Failed' problem when I try to open wmv files and have had it for awhile. I have searched the internet and have not yet found a solution that will help. Anybody in this forum ever find a solution?

    2) And by the way, before I signed into this forum tonight, I had to look up my password in my Microsoft Works Word Processor file where I keep my passwords, and it took the usual 40-45 seconds before it opened up the file. That has 'also' been a problem I've been looking for a solution to for awhile!

I've had every Windows version since the beginning and 'never' had either of these problems until sometime after I got Windows 7. I keep reading forum after forum about people having these same problems and after all the 'Windows Updates' downloads Microsoft keeps sending me, none have ever addressed either of these problems. Usually you hear the same lame excuses such as 'it's your antivirus program causing it'. Why can't Microsoft step up and fix these things???

This really belongs in a software section of the forum. Its not a "sound" problem but some type of software/application program problem.

I have exactly the same problem as inheaven does. And have tried all 1-5 to no avail. I hope there will be solution for this soon.
