Converting FLAC to WAV = Lost music tracking (help)
I have had music in FLAC format for storage reasons, and have recently been using Ashampoo to burn the music back onto CDs to be played on my regular hi-fi (so I can really crank up the volume).
However, whilst playing something the other day, I noticed that there was a whole track missing in the music.
I don't mean a missing track as in a missing song, I mean a missing track as in take a 16 track and turn off a track (making it 15), and something will disappear (it may be the drums, or the vocals, etc). In my case the string section was simply not there.
Does anybody know of software that is particularly good at converting FLAC back to WAV for general CD player use, without losing data? Or possibly software that can burn FLAC straight to CD with no quality loss?
Difficult question, I know. Maybe there are some audio-tech dudes out there?
