    Can't stop recording from headphones

I have my speker plugged in the back punnel and headset plugged in front, my headset is my main device (they dun work together I gotta unplug one and change teh settings for it to work ,like making the desired device as main).

The problem is a friend of mine I talk with via skype can hear what I hear through my headset, so I gotta play on extremely low sound or even mute so I don;t disturb her...

I checked it and when I play music and record, I actually record what I hear.

I couldn;t figure out how to fix that.

It started when I switched from xp to win 7.

My recording is set to front mic (my headset got a mic, and is plugged in front) it;s set to default.

And sound is configured as headphones-default device.

Might check this tutorial out. Maybe you possibly have stereo mix/what u hear enabled for some reason and it's using both?, and can then disable it.

Ok I uploaded a pic of my current settings.

I tried playing with things and I changed the settings of my headset through the program that came with my mobo for the sound (VIA HD Audio Deck) from independant headphones to redirected headphones...and that;s why you see the speaker enabled in teh picture and not the headset.

I have got the same problem. I use Via HD Audio Deck for my onboard audio card, motherboard ASUS P5KPL-AM.
My mic green bar at "recording devices" doesn't respond to playing music or game sounds, although it's the only enabled and connected device. The sounds of music and games are still being played for skype friends. I use headphones, by the way. If you think you need more details, just ask me.

Edit: I'm starting to think about Skype misconfiguration. It's a remote possibility, though.
