Can't get Stereo Mix to work! Currently having a lot of trouble to even get any sound out of stereo mix. I'm wanting to record sound from my PC but I'm not too sure if i can with the current set up I have. I'm using my Samsung TV which is plugged into the HDMI port on my PC and using the speakers already in/on the TV. I've went to the properties of stereo mix changed the "playback through this device" to my TV and I don't get any sound coming from Stereo mix on any program and the green bars aren't going up and down either.
Could i get some help with this?
Thanks in advance! | My System Specs |

Try Sound->Playback->select your TV here. If you don't see it, Rt-click and "Show disabled devices." You might need to make it the Default (?).
Then Recording->Stereo Mix->Properties-> playback thru this device = TV or Default Device.
If you use a RealTek driver, get version R2.65 or earlier for recording from Stereo Mix. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number eMachines ET1831-7 OS Windows 7 Ultimate CPU Pentium Dual-Core CPU E5400 @ 2.70GHz Motherboard EMCP73VT-PM Memory 4096M Graphics Card nVidia 8400GS Sound Card built-in Realtek Monitor(s) Displays Acer 20" Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Hard Drives Seagate ST3750528AS ATA 500G Other Info Dual-boot with Linux. |

If you are using HDMI, that bypasses the sound card and may be why the Stereo Mix isn't working. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number My Own Build OS Windows 7, 64 bit Home SP1, Win 8 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 3770 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Memory 16GB GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL Graphics Card Sapphire HD7770 Sound Card RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA2448 Series 24" LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Kensington wired Mouse Logitech Wireless PSU Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620M Modular Case Coolermaster HAF XM Cooling Corsair H80 Liquid cooling with aftermarket Nexus quiet fans Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 SSD for Win 7

You can try setting the "Speakers" as the default audio playback device. That MAY get it to work. You will probably have to use PC speakers or a headset to hear the sound. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number My Own Build OS Windows 7, 64 bit Home SP1, Win 8 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 3770 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Memory 16GB GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL Graphics Card Sapphire HD7770 Sound Card RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA2448 Series 24" LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Kensington wired Mouse Logitech Wireless PSU Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620M Modular Case Coolermaster HAF XM Cooling Corsair H80 Liquid cooling with aftermarket Nexus quiet fans Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 SSD for Win 7
