Mic's audio in playback is very quiet in every software.. Hi guys,
I'll list what I've already tried..
- Turning the Decibels (Making mic recording output louder but creates unnecessary feedback)
- Recording externally in a different software like Audacity and trying to turn it up (Annoying feedback because of decibels)
- Checked for driver updates etc.
-Same difference in both stereo/5.1 headsets.
I can't think of anything else. I'm on Win 7 and I can't record my voice through any of my mic's without turning the decibels to 30. Otherwise you can't hear what I'm saying. And even then the feedback is just really unpro-like haha.
Any suggestions?
Thanks. | My System Specs |

What Kind of mic are you using? Is it a "computer" mic?
It is normal, if you turn up the microphone level and do not turn down the speakers that you will get feedback. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number My Own Build OS Windows 7, 64 bit Home SP1, Win 8 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 3770 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Memory 16GB GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL Graphics Card Sapphire HD7770 Sound Card RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA2448 Series 24" LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Kensington wired Mouse Logitech Wireless PSU Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620M Modular Case Coolermaster HAF XM Cooling Corsair H80 Liquid cooling with aftermarket Nexus quiet fans Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 SSD for Win 7

Thanks for the reply,
I'm using a Roccat Kave 5.1 SS headset. The mic output whilst recording should be loud and clear. I had the same issue with Turtlebeach as well. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium CPU AMD Phenom ii X4 3.2GHz Motherboard Sabertooth 990FX Memory 8GB Corsair Vengance 1600Mhz Graphics Card 560ti SLI Monitor(s) Displays LG W2363D PSU Corsair HX850 Cooling Fans Hard Drives 1TB Samsung |

Are you using the ASUS supplied RealTek audio driver?
If not, install that and see if it helps. Generally, the vendor supplied sound driver is best. Actually to tell you the truth I haven't got Asus's Realtek drivers installed. I'll install the one that you provided and see if it helps.

It's not made much of a difference tbh, I still have increase the decibels to get decent volume. Even then there's bad feedback. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium CPU AMD Phenom ii X4 3.2GHz Motherboard Sabertooth 990FX Memory 8GB Corsair Vengance 1600Mhz Graphics Card 560ti SLI Monitor(s) Displays LG W2363D PSU Corsair HX850 Cooling Fans Hard Drives 1TB Samsung |
