Ok i gave it a run, when i try using it i just get the Error sound and nothing is described or said, or opens.
Here is attachment for a quicker download. Plus cnet's installer is annoying.

Thanks to everyone who helped. I found WinPlayAny online and it is from the
Dos - Windows 3.1 Days.

I found and tested this program and it works great !!

Then I came back to mark this SOLVED and I think it is the same as what PooMan UK & Skylais posted.

Anyway here is the direct link. WV Player

Now back to sorting thru my folder of wav files.
